Students filled out a worksheet to allow me to get to know them better. Bring home the syllabus and have it signed and returned by Friday.

Textbook distribution day! Today we went to the media center and picked up textbooks for all student classes. We started presenting the Super Heroes. If you did not finish your super hero finish it over the weekend.

Happy Solar Eclipse! Today we learned about the solar eclipse and did an activity related to it. We started taking notes of the scientific process.

Today we finished notes on the scientific process. We started working on a worksheet together "Scientific Inquiry". This worksheet reviews the scientific process along with applying it to fundamental classic experiment in biology. This worksheet is due Friday.

Lab Safety Day! We learned about lab safety and watched a video that reviewed important safety facts. We learned where all the safety materials are located in the room. There will be a safety quiz on Friday!

Skittles Lab. We used the scientific method to predict which color skittles was most common in a bag of skittles. We graphed our data and analyzed the results. This lab is due Monday.

We started class by watching the Amoeba Sister's video on properties of water. We worked on a worksheet on water after the video.

Heart Rate Lab. We reviewed the scientific process and how to set up a formal lab report today. We measured our heart rate during different activities to see if there was a difference. We graphed and analyzed out data. This will be due next week. Vocabulary is due on Tuesday!
